Device ownership directly correlates with academic performance. The SDOI removes the financial barrier between students and their tools of learning.
The SDOI is Slate Technology's flagship partnership programme with universities and colleges across Nigeria. Through institutional partnerships, students receive their Slate device from day one and complete payment before graduation, with no external debt burden.
Slate Technology and the institution sign a Memorandum of Understanding establishing device models, pricing, and support commitments.
Eligible students register via an online portal or campus booth, indicating interest and selecting their preferred device configuration.
The institution verifies academic standing and confirms eligibility. Approved students are scheduled for device collection.
Devices distributed — optionally preloaded with academic tools, learning apps, and institutional software for immediate use.
Students pay monthly or semesterly instalments through university channels or directly to Slate, completing full ownership before graduation.
